I’ve always been interested in the weather, especially trying to figure out weather extremes. I knew if I could figure out the extremes I would be able to pinpoint good weather so I could go outside and do things. On July 17, 2004, a very heavy thunderstorm hit my family house. As terrifying as this was my interest in this beautiful weather phenomenon actually increased. I wanted to understand how it happened. Up to the present day, this event helps drive my interest in weather in both the Netherlands and abroad.
After graduating in 2015, I joined Infoplaza as an operational meteorologist. I take care of the daily weather reports for different customers and I am part of the team involved in meteorologically related IT work, such as weather model development and visual weather data visualization.
